Check out our brand new guestbook, photo album and resource articles!
Boy another week has passed already, man time flys when you get older! What a week it has been, my friend June at work; her brother Doug passed away, and that was so sad. Cancer strikes again. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family now.
This weekend is busy, I cleaned house (yeah me, I mean I really cleaned house today) I have 20 people coming here for a BBq on Sunday (tomorrow), and they are calling a 40 percent chance of rain, so incase we need to move inside I had to get the shack cleaned up! No, it really isn't a shack it is a nice brick story and a half on two acres!
Anyway, got the job done, by 3 pm and did the wash too- so rewarded myself with a lounge by the pool, a little swim and tucked into reading "All Keyed Up" by Mary Stella. You can access her blog under my Friends list. What a great read. Since it is set in Florida, it makes me think of my annual vacation on the Gulf of Mexico, in Madeira Beach. It has a lot to do with Dolphins which I love, and a hot romance that keeps building up to ...??? we will see!
I was fortunate to get both her books for free as Mary was doing a little promotional protest, and giving away up to 100 of her books if people would make a donation to literacy. It had something to dow with her not getting an invite to a Romance Novelist Conference. Anyway, Lucky for me! and for local literacy. I will be forwarding a double donation.
September promises to be busy, with our heritage meetings. Yes, I am a heritage nut. Our group is known as the Canadian Industrial Heritage Centre, but we don't have an actual centre yet. We preserve artifacts and the stories about products manufactured in and around our great city of Brantford, ON. and the people who made them. On September 20th we are participating in the Great Tractor Drive sponsored by the Waterford (Spruce Row Museum) my husband and about 5 other guys will be driving our antique Cockshutt Tractors on a 16 km trip, then back to Waterford for a Banquet to celebrate the updating of the museum and the launch of our very own exhibit. Funny, we can't seem to manage working with our local museum but this small town one has room for us there! Probably a better fit anyway, since a lot of our stuff is agricultural.
Oh yeah! I almost forgot...my friend Doreen South is coming to stay here from October 4 - 10th, she is a psychic medium and an excellent one, i might ad! She will be taking appointments while here! So if you are in my neck of the woods and want to get a reading email me! The fee is 50.00 for a half hour, audio tape included.
check our her website at www.angelwhispers.com
Enjoy the weekend!
